Temporary Recovery Workforce Jobs

 

Wage rates starting at $7.25 per hour
up to $25.00 per hour.
You may be eligible for temporary, public service employment
to help with recovery efforts. 
     
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of these requirements:
 • Out of work due to the disaster.
 • Currently laid off from a job.
 • Long-term unemployed, out of work at least 15 weeks in the past six months.
 
 
Available jobs include:
 • Debris cleaners.
 • Humanitarian aides.
 • Drivers.
 • Office workers.
 • Social service aides.
 • Construction workers.
 • Others as needed.

Those affected by the disaster will be given priority in hiring.

Those selected can earn up to $12,000 or work up to six months, whichever occurs first. Wages will be based on the prevailing rate for that job in the area.  The hourly rate range is $7.25 to $25.00.

You may receive support services, such as transportation assistance, uniforms and protective clothing and safety equipment.

You may not receive unemployment benefits and work at the same time.
