Federal Bonding Program

Federal Bonding Program

If you need a job and are worried about your past issues as barriers to employment?

Are you an employer who is hesitant to hire individuals with past life experiences that may present honesty or bonding issues?

The Federal Bonding Program is designed to help both groups by offering employers a no-cost, bond on at-risk employees.

Who is eligible?
An ex-offender
A recovering substance abuser
A public assistance recipient
A person with poor financial credit, or have declared bankruptcy
An economically disadvantaged youth or adult lacking a work history
An individual dishonorably discharged from the military
Anyone who cannot secure employment without bonding services

The details of the Federal Bonding Program are:
Under this program*, an employer can receive a FREE,  six month Federal Bond which serves as a business insurance policy against theft, forgery, larceny or embezzlement by the bonded employee (*if the all criteria are met).
The bond does not cover liability due to poor workmanship, job injuries or work accidents. The Federal Bonding Program does not provide bail bonds or court bonds for the legal system nor contract bonds, performance bonds or license bonds that are sometimes needed for self-employment.

Eligibility
Before the Federal Bond can issue, the employer must make the at-risk applicant a job offer and set a date for the individual to start work.
