What is the status of my claim?

MDES has launched a new self-service phone number that allows claimants to find out the status of their claims.

Claimants can dial 601-272-8332 to access the status of their unemployment claim.

Dial 1 for an updated status of your claim.

You will need the following information before calling the claim status number.
1. Social Security Number
2. Date of Birth (DOB)
3. Claimant ID

Once the system has validated the required information, it will provide you with an updated claim status.
