Current Employment Statistics

Program Summary
Program is designed to take the pulse of the economy; monthly estimate of industry employment at the National, State and MSA level
Monthly survey of employers to determine employment, hours, and earnings by industry
Employers are randomly selected to be surveyed and are requested to complete the Bureau of Labor Statistics report on Employment Payroll, and Hours (Form BLS 790)
Published at the State, Jackson MSA, Gulfport-Biloxi-Pascagoula MSA, and Hattiesburg MSA levels
