The details of the Fidelity Bonding Program are:
Under this program*, an employer can receive a FREE, six month Fidelity Bond which serves as a business insurance policy against theft, forgery, larceny or embezzlement by the bonded employee (*if the all criteria are met).
The bond does not cover liability due to poor workmanship, job injuries or work accidents. The Fidelity Bonding Program does not provide bail bonds or court bonds for the legal system nor contract bonds, performance bonds or license bonds that are sometimes needed for self-employment.

Before the Fidelity Bond can be issued, the employer must make the at-risk applicant a job offer and set a date for the individual to start work. If the applicant is eligible, bonding coverage is effective immediately following certificate or on the applicant’s first day of work once certified.
