Fidelity Bonding Program

Do you need a job and are worried about your past issues as barriers to employment?

Are you an employer who is hesitant to hire individuals with past life experiences that may present honesty or bonding issues? 

The Fidelity Bonding Program is designed to help both groups by offering employers a no-cost, bond on at-risk employees.

 

Who is eligible?
Ex-offenders, including individuals with records of arrests, probation or any police records.

 

Program Features
Fidelity Bonds are intended for new hires and are usually required to be in place before the employee’s first day of work.
Coverage is free for six months. After six months, bonding becomes the employer’s responsibility.
Coverage begins at $5,000 and goes up to $25,000.
There is no deductible.
There are no forms to fill out.

 

The details of the Fidelity Bonding Program are:
Under this program*, an employer can receive a FREE, six month Fidelity Bond which serves as a business insurance policy against theft, forgery, larceny or embezzlement by the bonded employee (*if all the criteria are met).
The bond does not cover liability due to poor workmanship, job injuries or work accidents. The Fidelity Bonding Program does not provide bail bonds or court bonds for the legal system nor contract bonds, performance bonds or license bonds that are sometimes needed for self-employment.


Eligibility
Before the Fidelity Bond can be issued, the employer must make the at-risk applicant a job offer and set a date for the individual to start work. If the applicant is eligible, bonding coverage is effective immediately following certificate or on the applicant’s first day of work once certified.
